Things I love about a holiday … …

• The smell of the sea.
• Waking up and saying “what shall we do today?”.
• Sattelite Navigation (It’s a gift from on high to parents with three children in the back!).
• No iron, washing machine, internet, telephone … …
• The British weather (rain, sunshine, wind, gentle breezes and mild sunburn).
• Balmy evenings, red wine, conversation and good food.
• Swimming with the children as often as possible.
• Spending time on our own and visiting family (distant and not so distant).
• Thinking and time not to think.
