Very thought provoking article. If you were leading this church how would you feel? Happy the person is there, or disappointed that the gospel hasn’t been accepted? I guess this should be a healthy tension we should celebrate and look for, rather than just measuring “results”.
On the other hand, it also put me in mind of many churches full (or not!) of people to whom the gospel has no real significance, who just attend for social or whatever reasons. Those don’t feel like churches where God is at work.
Which demonstrates this tension or balance is not easy to achieve and maintain!
