I lived in Morecambe when I was younger, and I loved Frontierland!! It was great publicity for Morecambe and visitors came from all over to experience it. Even though 3 retail units have been built I think there is still plenty of land to re-build the legendary theme park and give Morecambe back it's good name! Surely their must be someone or some company which would love to see Morecambe back in it's element! Postcards and pictures of the skychairs and wonderful rides Frontierland held were amazing! Frontierland was the most popular attraction in Morecambe and it really should be given a chance to shine again! Let children re-live the experience we did when Frontierland lived its day!!!

Love the three approaches to mission. I see all three in my church. And, I see all three in me! I might have to use this outline next time I preach Luke 15. Thanks.

Hmm, not sure what to say...sorry that you are not able to proceed to the PhD, but impressed that you haven't paid anything yet! With the university you end up paying before they tell you that you can proceed to the year you've just paid for - cunning! Maybe you'll get an MPhil for free?

I have no idea what NWBA fora are like as Ihave never been to any. And whilst I understand and appreciate the difficulties of Saturdays for any ministers with families, they domean that other church folk can - and do - get involved, which in EMBA anyway is a large part of the point!

I enjoy attending them for various reasons: -

Being part of a small, older church, it is good to be reminded that not everyone is over 70 and not everyone is in a small church (though for some ministers of course the very remidner can be painful)

There are often some good keynote speakers to listen to and most times some seminars that sound interesting.

It's a great opportunity to catch up with friends (and at our events, many folk do this rather than ging to seminars, no one minds)

For me, Saturday is a working day, so why not be 'working' by having a good time?!

Our grandson Fred started school last week too - & thanks to the wonders of technology, we had an emailed picture that night! Nikki said he wouldn't pose or stand still for long, so I responded with grandmotherly wisdom, suggesting nailing his feet to the floor - I WAS ONLY JOKING!
